Willem Pretorius was born and raised on a family farm in the Northwest province of South Africa. At age 16 he came to visit his Uncle, Nick Vos, and fell in love with the country. After school, Willem came back to the US and got his Bachelors in Agronomy at OPSU, pursued a career as an agronomist, and started a small farming operation on the side. He quickly got interested in the Maximum Profit System from AgVenture, taught and mentored by Glen Long, long time DSM and CCA, at the time, working for AgVenture Nebraska. Today, Willem and his dad farm several thousand acres, and still educate farmers on the principles installed by Glen, to help himself and all his customers achieve maximum profit from every acre.

In 2007 Damian and family had the opportunity to move to the Texas Panhandle to expand on the family farm and dairy industry. In 2008, the family purchased Seed Inc., a seed company in Sunray, TX. Seed Inc. has been in business for more than 40 years, and is dedicated to bringing high quality seed at a price that is affordable to the average farmer, with competitive pricing that is hard to beat. Seed Inc. is a family-owned business run by Damian, Shawn, and Don. With a nearly 150 combined years of farming, they know the challenges that farmers face, and the importance of seed being high quality. That’s why in 2014, when Seed Inc. needed true local hybrids that offered what local farmers needed, they turn to Nick Vos who introduced them to the AgVenture seed products. Since then, not only have they been selling the AgVenture hybrids but have also been using them on their own farms.
